Mobile Systems Architect

A physicist by training, Phil has been designing, building, and implementing complex IT systems in the USA and Europe for multinational companies like Unilever, AirBP, and SoftwareAG for over 35 years.

Later founding his own company, he designed and built the market leading Telecomm's Reseller Billing System in the UK. As Chief Technology Officer at BandApp, he managed the wider development team and technical infrastructure through business analysis, functional design specifications and product roadmaps. Phil has also designed and released many successful apps onto the Apple App Store across varied sectors, particularly science, technology, music, games, and education.

Phil’s deep physics and IT background, in combination with his interest in the sensor data available from the iPhone, ultimately drove him to advancing AstraNav’s technology by designing and implementing M-GPS algorithms for mobile devices.
